Me and my family packed our bags and flew to Oakland, California where we picked up the car and drove to San Fransisco, the first stop on our two weeks roadtrip through California.
San Fransisco-Monterey-Santa Barbara-San Clemente-LA/West Hollywood-Las Vegas-LA/Venice Beach.
And of course a few daytrips and stops between all those places. Napa Valley, Half Moon Bay, Santa Cruz, Huntington Beach, Carmel-By-The-Sea, Muir Woods.
It was fun to see all these legendary places that i’ve only read about and seen in movies. To go to surfspots as Mavericks and Trestles even though Mavericks didn’t put up a show and even though we were one day late to Hurley Pro at Trestles. To walk up and down Sunset Strip, visit the legendary rock bars Rainbow Bar & Grill, The Roxy, The Troubadour and last but not least Whisky A Go Go even though we were way too many years late to all those places. At least I got to see Judas Priest, Sebastian Bach, Nita Strauss, Vinny Appice, Rudy Sarzo, Robert Sarzo, Jeff Scott Soto, Bjorn Englen, Ashley Dzerigian, Nick Maybury, Tony Franklin, Craig Goldy, Michael, Devin, Chrise Reeve, Greg D’ Angelo at Whisky A Go Go in 2017. I also got to see Chris Cornell, Dee Dee Ramone and Johnny Ramone, once again too late because all of them are buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery (It is worth a visit, it’s a beautiful cemetery. You should also go to the Highgate Cemetery in London.). We spent some time at Alcatraz, luckily too late, where we met an old prisoner.
The list goes on.
I met the legend Jeff Clark in Half Moon Bay. Here’s a video of him!
And here’s a bunch of photos from the trip! I brought my Canon 7D mk 2 and the Sony rx100v…
